"Whatever path we choose, it's better than simply sleepwalking through life on autopilot. I believe many people listening would agree that taking drastic changes is necessary for drastic outcomes. Yes, it might seem reckless, but if you desire a significant change, you must be willing to take significant risks.
The real risk in life is often mediocrity. My trainer often says that most people live in constant fear, as if there's a lion in the room. He advises that in the presence of a real threat, like a lion, you should definitely run. But, in most situations, there is no lion. What he means is that we should have the courage to do what we desire. The primary reason we hesitate is fear, and we shouldn't let fear control us constantly.
Most of the time, the risk is much lower than we think for the things we're hesitant about. The greater risk, in the long run, is leading a mediocre life, a life that's not lived on our terms or the way we want. This is true for everyone. Think about your life. Is there an aspect where you're merely going along with the flow, driven by inertia, rather than actively making choices?"
